Heflin Baptist Church is one of the oldest churches in Cleburne County. But don't let that give you the wrong idea! While the message of the gospel never changes, we realize that our methods do. We are grateful for our heritage and history, but we are a 21st century church. We like to say, "we are a church for all generations." In 2003 we completed a major renovation of our worship center which included modern touches like projection capability for visual learners.
Our church is a place for people. Our worship is exciting and happy. Our teaching is relevant and practical, and our people are friendly and caring.

Rev. Philip R. Morris, Pastor
Brother Phil has been at Heflin Baptist Church since October, 1995. He is a native of Anniston and is married to Debbie, his high school sweetheart. They have two married daughters and four grandchildren. He is a graduate of The Community College of the Air Force, Auburn University at Montgomery and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rev. Morris is also a retired Senior Master Sergeant (E-8), United States Air Force.
D.J. Hudgins, Director of Student Ministries
We are please to announce that D.J. Hudgins has joined Heflin Baptist Church as one of the newest members of our staff! D.J. began his ministry with us back in October 2012 on a trial basis as a volunteer. We called him as a part-time paid staff member as Director of Student Ministries at the end of December. I know you will agree that we have been blessed by the whole Hudgin's family who joined our church in 2012! D.J. is married to Jenny Hudgins and has four precious children; Will, Duncan, Ellie and JazMyne.
Stacy Cash, Director of Children's Ministries
Stacy Cash begins her ministry as our Director of Children's Ministries on a volunteer basis beginning January 2013. She will be responsible for supervision, planning and implementing programs for children ages birth through sixth grade. She will work with our Children's Committee to insure that HBC meets the needs of all our families and prospects with children. Stacy, along with her family, has been a long standing active member at HBC serving on several committees. She is married to Jerry Cash. They have two children; Zack and Mackenzie.
Crystal Bachus, Administrative Assistant
Crystal S. Bachus has been Church Secretary at Heflin Baptist Church since December 1, 2008. She is married to Charles Jason Bachus, Worship and Music Director at Antioch Baptist Church of Oxford, Alabama where she and her husband are active members. She moved here from Rome, Georgia after marriage.
Marty Burson, Director of Music
Marty has been the worship leader since August, 2001. He believes music is the universal language and tries to use a blend of the old and new hymns and choruses. His wife, Terri, is our pianist and works with our Children's Choir. They have one son, Jonah.

Terri is a dedicated member of the music ministry and enjoys worshiping God through music! Terri is married to Marty Burson and they have one son, Jonah. She also enjoys working with the Children's Choir.
Janie Riddle, Organist
Janie has been serving Heflin Baptist Church since 1992. "It has been a joy and honor to serve you and our Lord!" - Janie.
