The youth will be going to Judgment Journey in LaGrange, GA on Saturday, November 3. Judgment Journey is a 45-minute walk through the end times of the world as the Bible says it will be. It is a unique and unforgettable experience. Cost is $12 and must be turned in to Janice Vise by Wednesday, September 26. You will also need to bring money to eat dinner on the day of the trip.

 Youth (and chaperones) planning to attend the Xtreme Winter Conference must have their $75 deposits turned in to Janice Vise by Sunday, October 7! We will need a final head count for reservations at this time.  This conference will take place December 31 - January 2 in Gatlinburg, TN and feature wonderful speakers and artists such as NewSong, TobyMac, Casting Crowns and more!!

The Youth will have a fundraiser for Xtreme Winter on Sunday, October 7. Participants will be preparing and serving lunch in the Fellowship Hall following the Morning Worship Service. Donations will be accepted.


Pastor Brent has the honor of being a contributing author in the 2018 Thomas Nelson Devotional. These books make wonderful gifts. Copies are just $15 and can be reserved now. Estimated delivery date will be between October 1 -15.

 Word of Life Fall Festival

On Wednesday, October 31, parents and children are invited to the home of Ted & Cindy Beam (48 Amy Court, Heflin).  The fun will begin at 5:30 p.m.  Pizza, hot dogs and other snacks will be available.  There will be games, a hayride and the opportunity to Trick or Treat.  Wear your favorite costume.  (No devils or demons please!!)
