Menu of Heflin Baptist's Ministries
Heflin Baptist music speaks to the soul and lifts the heart. Our music is a blend of the traditional and comtemporary, designed to reach across generations. Our choir and our new praise band lead us in our worship experiences. Gifted soloists and groups provide a variety of special selections. Our annual Easter and Christmas musicals have become an HBC tradition and there is always a place for one more in the choir!
Children are very special at HBC! We offer many activities and learning opportunities for them each week, including Bible study, choirs, and various activities. Preschool worship care is available during our Sunday Morning and Sunday Evening Worship services for nursery through 4 years of age. Our exciting children's ministry focuses on a fun-filled game time, Bible application, discipleship and mission education.
We realize that youth live in a tough culture that often can distract them from focusing on God. Through a blend of solid Biblical teaching and fun activities, the HBC student ministry seeks to provide a loving atmosphere in which youths can grow in their relationships with God and others. The HBC youth ministry is also designed to aid parents in the challenging task of rearing teenagers. The student's are now having a high-energy, spirit-filled Wednesday night service in the sanctuary starting at 6:30 p.m.
Our Men's Ministry seeks to address the issues that men face in striving to live a Christ centered life. A Men's Ministry group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. for a time of fellowship, prayer requests, and a program relating to the Christian man.
Our Women's Ministry seeks to address the issues that women face in striving to live a Christ centered life. This is accomplished through monthly Bible studies, mission action projects and fellowship activities. The Young Women's Bible Study is currently holding a study each Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. The current study focuses on spiritual warfare. For more information, call the church office.
Sunday Morning Small Group Bible Study Classes
Sunday Morning Small Groups include Co-Ed classes as well as men's and women's classes for every age group. Through these, adults discover the Bible's life-changing truths, make genuine friendships, and get involved in touching other peoples' lives. A newly formed Singles class is now in their second semester of Sunday morning Bible study. Contact the church office for more information.
The Senior Adults, better known as The Diamond Set, are an active bunch composed of those fifty-five years and older. They have a monthly lunch fellowship and go on trips around the area.
